Jonah 4:1-11

Psalm 86

Luke 11:1-4

“…your kingdom come.”  Luke 11:2

Lord, this world has a long way to go before your kingdom is fully here.  So much needs to change, so many people need to repent.  How about me, Lord?  Am I ready to turn my heart fully to you?  Am I willing to let go of all that blocks your kingdom to fill me up?   Can I become the fully human person you created me to be?  Jonah resisted full entry of your kingdom when you showed mercy to his enemy.  I still choose my ways over yours.  Lord, you know me better than I know myself.  When I pray for your will to be done and your kingdom to grow to the full, make the changes in me that need to be—whether I like it or not.  Open my heart to your grace so I will see you in all others.  Help me to see the potential in those whose faults I expose.  May your kingdom start with me even when I want it to start with someone else.  Amen.
