“you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart…” Deuteronomy 6:5
Lord, your word today is your first and most important commandment. It all starts with loving you as our first priority. We are called to love you with all our heart, mind and soul. If you don’t mind me asking, how am I doing? When you walked the earth, you constantly worked at building up the faith of your followers. Total and complete faith in you is my goal too. Lord, I need your help to believe and trust in you alone. When I turn over to you a problem, obstacle, weakness or fear I can feel the stress drain from my heart. To know that you are in charge and there is nothing—nothing that you can’t defeat. Lord, help me to turn to you first and always for all my needs. You have always come through for me. I’ve no doubt you will again to today. May I take to heart these words and bind them on my life in love of you. I thank you in advance for how you will grace and guide me today. St. Teresa Benedicta, pray for us. Amen.
