2 Kings 22:8-13; 23:1-3

Psalm 119

Matthew 7:15-20

“So, by their fruits you will know them.”  Matthew 7:20

Lord, what kind of fruit do I produce?  What does my fruit say about my character, my inner spirit?  You created me as your special, precious child.  You have saved me from death by your cross and given my life purpose and meaning.  You invite me to bear good fruit for your kingdom.  That’s who I am and why I am here.  You do not want me to bear the fruits of discouragement, fear or worry.  Negativity, selfishness or pride have no place in your kingdom.  I’ve noticed that when I am confident and aware that you are near, and your grace and spirit are within that I bear good fruit.  I am stronger and free of what tries to hold me back.  Alone, I will fail but with you at my side I can do all things that you call me to do.  I can be encouraging, helpful, positive, calm and at peace.  These are the fruits that enrich your kingdom.  Today, Lord, help me to be aware of what fruit I bear.  Amen.
