He saved me from evil of every kind… Sirach 51:12
Lord, you have been with me always even when I didn’t see you. Never have I walked alone even when I wasn’t aware of you next to me. Even when I yielded to temptation you didn’t abandon me. How faithful a friend you are. I am so very grateful for your constant care and attention. I’ll never know how many times you have saved me from injury or death. How many times you have guarded me from the evil one. How many times you have carried me when I couldn’t walk on my own or picked me up when I had fallen. I certainly don’t deserve how you have so blessed and protected me. Thank you for your patience and gift of courage to walk in your ways. I also thank the Holy Spirit for the gift of Wisdom. Make me wise to know when to speak and when to stay silent. Lord, today I choose to look for your companionship and your presence near me as I walk on my journey to you. St. Charles and Companions, pray for us. Amen.
