Acts 4:1-12
Psalm 118
John 21:1-14
“There is no salvation through anyone else, nor is there any other name under heaven given to the human race by which we are to be saved.” Acts 4:12
Lord, Peter got it right. I believe only you can rescue us from death, darkness and sin. Only in you can I find the truth without a spin. Only in you is there freedom to live a life worth living. How wonderful and glorious is your gift that will bring me to you forever. My Lord, I want to live this truth proclaimed by “Jesus Christ the Nazorean.” I want all my thoughts, words and actions to reflect the confidence that you have saved me and offered me a new life like the crippled man healed by Peter and John. May I continue to grow in this commitment to you and serve your name. Make me faithful to this calling and never allow me to look to any other person or thing for what only you give. Let me not be deceived by the evil one and keep me and my family under your secure protection and favor. Amen
