November 12, 2022, Saturday of the 32nd Week in Ordinary Time-C ST. JOSAPHAT, BISHOP, MARTYR

3 John 5-8

Psalm 112

Luke 18:1-8

Will not God then secure the rights of his chosen ones who call out to him day and night?  Luke 18:7

Lord, what can the persistent widow in your parable teach me today?  That lesson is the point of your story, right? She must have had some hope that by stubbornly continuing to pursue justice, that the judge would, one day, render a decision in her favor. She made her petition to the judge her daily priority. How much more will you answer my persistence in prayer with a just reply? When it seems, you are delaying answering my prayer are you not waiting for me to grow in faith and be ready for your answer. Lord, I believe you can see the big picture of my life much better than I can. So, whatever you decide is best for me I will wait for that day when I can best receive it. Maybe what I ask for is not good for me and you have a better plan than I can see. You know what I need well before I even begin to ask.  Help me to stay faithful in prayer to you all day, each day until you call me home.  St. Josaphat pray for us.  Amen.
