November 10, 2022 Thursday of the 32nd Week in Ordinary Time-C ST. LEO THE GREAT, POPE, DOCTOR OF THE CHURCH

Philemon 7-20

Psalm 146

Luke 17:20-25

“The kingdom of God is among you.  Luke 17:21

Lord, of all the many things that could be said about me at my funeral, maybe the best could be, “he made a difference in the world for the glory of God.” It’s a really blessed thing to have changed the lives for the good of others even if only in small ways. I think that is the kingdom of God. Lord, you know well the problems of this world: racial division, corruption, violence, human trafficking, crime and all the sins against innocent life. It’s hard to see the kingdom anywhere at times. Yet it’s here and with your guidance and grace I can make a difference and grow the kingdom in many ways. We pray “thy kingdom come, thy will be done;” I think that’s a prayer you will answer. Lord, help me today to use the talents and the opportunities you will give me to enlarge your kingdom. Even if it’s a small growth, it is important. One day at a time I can, with your grace, make a difference to someone. Thank you, Lord, for answering my prayer.  St. Leo the Great pray for us.  Amen.
