Psalm 128
Luke 13:18-21
Be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Eph. 5:21
“What is the kingdom of God like? It is like a mustard seed…” Luke 13:18-19
Lord, I have planted seeds in gardens and watched as the plants grew, matured and produced fruits and vegetables in abundance. It all starts with a seed. I am responsible for fertilizing the soil, watering the garden, and pulling the weeds. I can’t make a seed. Only you can make the seed that contains the miracle of life. Every seed contains the blueprint for the tree, flower or shrub it will become. Lord, I am grateful for how your word has been planted in my life’s garden. Your word, along with my cooperation with your grace, allows your kingdom to grow in my heart. Each day, through prayers and submission to your grace, I can bear good fruit for your kingdom. I can become a better spouse or family member by being subordinate and serving those around me. I can only do this with your grace. No act of kindness is too small, no word of encouragement is wasted, and no good example goes unnoticed. Little things, like seeds, can produce tremendous results. Increase your kingdom, Lord Jesus, within me today. Continue to bless all husbands and wives with a proper sense of service to one another. Amen.
