Remain faithful to what you have learned and believed… 2 Tim. 3:14
“But when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” Lk. 18:8
Lord, through the prophets of the Old Testament you assured your people that they are your people and you are their God.” This is the promise you have kept for thousands of years. Today’s Psalm says: “The Lord is your guardian; the Lord is your shade; he is beside you at your right hand.” You are the model of the perseverance and faithfulness you invite us to in our readings today. When Moses became weary and couldn’t pray he had help. Paul urges Timothy to stay faithful to what he believes. In your parable the judge renders a just verdict for the persevering widow. The message is loud and clear: persist and don’t give up. You even promised eternal life to those who stay faithful to the end. Lord, keep me on course to you. There may be times when my faith can weaken. Help me to remain faithful to all you have revealed through your word and your Church. Show me those who you have placed near me to support and encourage me in my journey to you. May I be as helpful to them as they are to me. Amen.
