Lord, I can’t imagine what was going through Moses’ mind when you gave him the mission to free your people from bondage in Egypt. If I was in his place I’d probably say “who me?” My first responses would likely be that I wasn’t qualified; I not strong or wise enough; I will fail; how can I do the impossible? Besides that, Moses was a fugitive and wanted for murder. But you chose the right man for the job. He trusted in your power and presence. He went forward one step at a time despite not having a detailed roadmap for the task. His simple, childlike faith that God can do the impossible allowed him to let go of his plan, his ego and surrender to God. Lord, I believe you are with me when I am faced with a difficult task. When moving forward seems impossible, you walk with me and only ask for my trust. Dear Jesus, give me an open and childlike heart to believe in your promises. Help me not to fear failure. Take away any worry or anxiety I may have and guide me step by step. Thank you for keeping your promises. St. Kateri pray for us. Amen.
