The walk-a-thon is a fundraiser where all students have the opportunity to get some exercise and have some fun walking with their classmates in the fresh air while helping to raise money for our school. The event will include music, refreshments, prizes and lots and lots of jelly bands! Friends, parents, and teachers will be on hand to cheer on the kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><a href=\"http:\/\/stmarys-school.org\/wp\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/walking.png\"><\/a><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"goal\">Our Goal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our goal this year is to raise&nbsp;<strong>$10,000<\/strong>&nbsp;which is a BIG number, but by working together we can achieve anything! In fact, if&nbsp;<strong>each student could meet the challenge of raising $50 each in donations<\/strong>, we would more than surpass that goal! Sponsors are asked to donate a flat-fee only (We will not be collecting by laps.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Students can collect cash or checks made payable to St. Mary\u2019s School and turn the donations in to the office.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><em>(Please include this&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uburst.com\/uwalk\/accounts\/stmarysschool\/donation_form.pdf\">Walk-A-Thon Pledge Form<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;when turning money into the office.)<\/em><\/li><li><strong>Or, students can share a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uburst.com\/cgi-bin\/uwalk\/accounts\/stmarysschool\/uwalk.pl?go=DONATE\">web link by which family and friends can donate online<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There is a walk-a-thon link on the school\u2019s main website (http:\/\/stmarys-school.org\/walkathon), but to&nbsp;ensure students get credit for any donations that are made online, all students are encouraged to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uburst.com\/cgi-bin\/uwalk\/accounts\/stmarysschool\/uwalk.pl?go=PARTICIPANTS\">create a unique participant link<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:center\" class=\"has-medium-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.uburst.com\/cgi-bin\/uwalk\/accounts\/stmarysschool\/uwalk.pl?go=PARTICIPANTS\"><strong>Create Participant Link<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uburst.com\/cgi-bin\/uwalk\/accounts\/stmarysschool\/uwalk.pl?go=PARTICIPANTS\">creating a unique participant link<\/a>, students will get a unique web URL that they can share via email and through social media. Any donations that originate from that link will be automatically credited to that student\u2019s fundraising goal. (Example: A student who turns in $100 dollars will have 100 chances to win.
