“Whoever has my commandments and observes them is the one who loves me. And whoever loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.” I often think that I may be the only one that can separate me from God. From sharing in the love that he so graciously pours forth from his Sacred Heart. Then I recall, I remember, I celebrate God’s grace, God’s gracious gift, God’s sacrificial love. There is nothing that God hasn’t done to prove his love for us. Nothing that he hasn’t shown to capture our attention.  Nothing that he hasn’t shared to bring us into his heart. Nothing that he hasn’t given that we haven’t received. O Lord, help us to understand that you desire us, long for us, will never allow anything or anyone to separate us from you and your love. O Lord, may our gaze be placed on you, on your Word, on your Works, on your Will.  Let us gaze upon your eyes and see ourselves as your gaze upon our hearts. Draw us near, bring us close, pull us into your presence.  Let your Heart speak to our hearts, your Love speak to our love, your Spirit speak to our spirit.  Tell us how much you love and desire us. Help us to hear it, believe it, hold on to it.  Help us to know without a doubt or hesitation that you want us to be with you always.  That not even death can separate us because your love is greater than anything we can hope for or imagine. Your love is real, your love is strong, your love is sweet, your love is gentle, your love is deep, your love is profound, your love is eternal.  Let your Spirit groan deep within us.  Let our hunger for you deepen; our thirst for your love grow.  O Lord, help us to more freely, devoutly and graciously receive the gift of your love and to remember it, to celebrate it, to believe that nothing can separate us from your love – not even me.  Jesus, come live your love inside of me.
