Revelation 5:1-10

Psalm 149

Luke 19:41-44

…he saw the city and wept…Lk. 19:41

Lord, the condition of my soul is deeply personal to you. When I drift away from you, it brings forth compassion and sorrow not judgment. You came to save me not condemn me. But my eyes can be blind to your presence and concern for me. It hurts you when I fail to see your goodness and kindness.  When I choose conflict over peace it breaks your heart. But I know you also share great joy over my victories no matter how small. It fills your heart with happiness when I turn to you in trust and confidence. You smile when I reach out to help my brothers and sisters in their needs. Lord, I pray today for my heart to be bound to yours. Help me to have the same joy, compassion and pity as you do. Unite my spirit with yours. Bring me close to you, Lord, so I can understand your most Sacred Heart and your will for me.  Help me see what makes for peace in all my relationships. Thank you, Jesus, for loving me so much.  Amen.
