Psalm 65

Romans 8:18-23

Matthew 13”:1-23

“…blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear.” Mt. 13:16

Lord, thank you for the gifts of hearing and seeing your creation and presence in our world. When I look upon the universe or listen to a symphony I see and hear you. A sunrise, birdsong, a loved one’s smile or a whispered “I love you” are all signs of you. I am reminded of your love when I see compassion for a lonely widow or a mom or dad giving up their day off to take their kids to a day of fun. Lord, I see and hear so much more of you when I let go of my pride and hardness of heart. That’s when I become rich soil for your seed to grow and bear fruit. I am more aware of you when I take on a humble attitude and repent of my faults and failures. Lord, speak to me today in a new way and help me see you in a new place. May I encounter you in every moment whether it’s a happy one or a suffering one. Enrich the soil of my heart with a humble and open attitude. Keep my eyes and ears open and ready for your precious love all the time and in every place.  Amen
