Psalm 148

John 16:12-15

“But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth.”  John 16:13

Lord, what an awesome promise you made to your disciples! I believe your promise is intended for all of your children who have received the Holy Spirit in Baptism. The search for truth continues throughout our lifetime. When I was in college I arrogantly thought I had all the truth I needed. When I entered the work world I found out I had a lot to learn. There have been many times in my years of work, my relationships and my faith that I was informed by the Spirit of the divine truth. I have been blessed to be a Catholic and have the benefit of the rich tradition and history of your Church. Lord, I sometimes think I am still a baby in my faith journey. Even if I am, your Spirit is with me just as truly as the same Spirit was with Paul that day in Athens. May your Holy Spirit continue to guide and build on my faith so I can give you proper worship and bear fruit for your kingdom. Keep my heart and mind open to how you want to form me and bless me with your wisdom, compassion and mercy.  Thank you Lord for hearing my prayer.  Amen alleluia.
