The angel said to the women in reply, “Do not be afraid! I know that you are seeking Jesus the crucified. He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said.” Who do you look for when you encounter a difficult person or a challenging situation? Who do you go to in moments of despair and desolation? Who do you turn to when life feels like an empty tomb?  Jesus says, “Let the children come to me; do not prevent them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” God so loved the world, God so loves us – that he sent his Son into the world to save it, to transform it – to make us his beloved children.  As children of God, as children of Light, as heirs to the Kingdom of God – we should know that we can always trust Jesus and invite him into every circumstance, every situation, every heartache, every celebration. Turn to Jesus in hope, in confidence, in trust.  He brings light to darkness, joy to sadness, strength to weakness – life to death.  Jesus said, “…why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” I seek you Jesus, the Promise of God with all my heart, soul and understanding.  I seek you, the Savior of the World with all my strength, will, being. I seek the one who saves me, calls me, loves me. I seek the one whom I should love above all things, the one who provides me with daily bread.  I seek the one who heals me, comforts me, forgives me, cloths me with light. I seek the one who restores me, renews me, refreshes my heart and soul. I seek the Lord who is my God, my rock, my Savior, my Brother, my Shepherd, my King. I seek the one that my heart weeps for, cries out to, longs for, can’t live without.  I am looking for the one who died for me, rose for me, the one who brings me life, who gives me life, who lives in me. “Whom are you looking for?” I am looking for Jesus.  May the Peace of the Risen Savior remain forever in your heart.
